About the Role

SnapIT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer for a full-time position in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to collaborate closely with our federal government customer in a hybrid work setup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, configure, and optimize solutions for applications, databases, test automation tools, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products using software engineering principles.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and a domain-specific language (e.g., HTML, SQL, proprietary vendor language).
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure adherence to software engineering principles and development guidelines.
• Partner with customers to develop innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Provide on-call support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management.

Eligibility Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field or equivalent combination of education, from an accredited college or university, and experience.
• Experience with Java, Angular, and AWS cloud technologies.
• Intermediate understanding of software engineering concepts.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in WebSphere, SQL, and GitLab.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Location:

• Kansas City, MO (Hybrid: 50% on-site / 50% remote flexibility)

Additional Information:

• US Citizenship is required.
• Screening Requirements: Due to information accessed while preforming the job, employment is contingent upon passing additional screenings, including education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results.
