About the Role

SnapIT Solutions has a full-time opening for an experienced Software Engineer. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in a role that requires collaboration and technical excellence. This is a 80-20% (remote-onsite) hybrid working position OR 100% Remote if outside.

Job Responsibilities:

• Join the Payments Information Repository (PIR) team to deliver high-quality, mission-critical software solutions.
• Design, implement, configure, and optimize software applications, databases, test automation tools, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products.
• Utilize expertise in a general-purpose programming language (such as Java, C#, Python) and domain-specific language (HTML, SQL) to drive project success.
• Conduct peer reviews, applying best practices in software engineering principles, patterns, and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with customers to develop solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze technical and business requirements, delivering solutions that meet them.
• Provide on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for supported products.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Eligibility Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
• Expertise in Java 8 and JavaScript.
• Experience with Grails, Groovy, Gradle, Maven, SQL, shell scripting, and API development.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, with the ability to work independently and serve as a resource for junior staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker

Additional Information:

• Screening Requirements: This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results. The areas screened may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks.

Compensation: Final offers are determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, internal alignment, district assignment, and geographic location.
